What is modular construction?

Modular construction is a method of building where individual components or modules are made in a factory, transported to the site, and assembled on location to form a complete building.

How does modular construction differ from traditional construction methods?

In traditional construction, a building is constructed entirely on-site, whereas in modular construction, the building is constructed from modules off-site in a factory, then transported to the construction site for final assembly. It differs in terms of prefabrication, controlled environment that allows for greater quality control and reduces the potential for weather-related delays, customizability, with a range of finishes and design options compared to onsite construction, faster construction times and cost-efficiency.

How long do EOScale homes last?

Our homes are built to last just as long as traditionally constructed homes, depending on various factors such as maintenance and climate. The lifespan is largely dependent on the same factors that affect the lifespan of a traditional home. EOScale homes are built with high-quality materials and construction techniques that extend their lifespan. With proper care and maintenance, our home can last just as long as a traditional home.

How do you ensure quality control?

Each module undergoes a rigorous quality control process during manufacturing, which ensures that each module is built to the same high standard and meets all building codes and regulations.

Our quality control combines processes and procedures that are implemented at various stages of the manufacturing process. Before the manufacturing process begins, we conduct extensive design and engineering work to ensure that the final product meets the customer's needs and complies with local building codes and regulations. During the manufacturing process, each module is inspected to see that construction is conducted according to the design and engineering specifications. These inspections typically include a review of the materials used, the quality of the workmanship, and the overall structural integrity of the module. After that, testing is performed to ensure that the final product meets all quality standards.

Do modular homes lose value? Is buying an EOScale home a good investment?

Modular homes, like traditional homes, can appreciate or depreciate depending on various factors such as location, condition, and market conditions. However modular homes do not depreciate any faster than traditional homes, and in some cases, they can even appreciate at a faster rate. Buying an EOScale home can be a good investment, as they are more cost-effective and faster to construct than traditional homes. Our homes meet local building codes and regulations and are built to suit a buyer’s specific needs, making them a flexible option. Also, our homes are built in a controlled factory environment, which allows for rigorous quality control processes, resulting in higher quality buildings. This lowers your maintenance costs and increases durability, which can also help maintain or increase the value of the home over time.

How energy efficient are EOScale homes?

Our homes are highly energy-efficient, for the following reasons: They are built with high-quality insulation in the walls, roof, and floor that reduces heat loss and improves energy efficiency of the home.

All our homes come with high-quality windows and doors that reduce air leakage and improve energy efficiency. Our homes are equipped with HVAC Systems (for energy efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning). Homes are also equipped with energy-efficient lighting, which uses less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs.

How safe are your homes?

EOScale homes are extremely safe as they must meet all safety standards for design and construction, strength and durability, fire resistance, heating, plumbing, air-conditioning, roof load, wind resistance, thermal efficiency, and more.

Do materials used in your structures have building certificates?

Yes, the materials used in our construction have the necessary building certificates and approvals required by the local building codes and regulations. When building a modular home, the materials used must meet the same standards as those used in traditional site-built homes.

Are your homes soundproof?

Yes, our homes are designed and constructed to be soundproof and have excellent sound insulation.

Who organizes the transport and assembly?

We organize the transport and assembly of our homes, as we are equipped with the necessary tools and equipment to do so. We will work together with you to plan the delivery and installation, considering factors such as the location of the site, access to the site, and any other logistical challenges that may need to be addressed. We will coordinate with any necessary third-party contractors, such as crane operators or electricians, to ensure a smooth and efficient installation process. Once the EOScale home is delivered to the site, our installation team handles the assembly and finishing work, such as installing utilities, connecting the modules together, and completing any necessary interior or exterior finishing work.

What is a SMART home system?

A SMART system refers to a set of interconnected devices and technologies that provide automation, control, and monitoring capabilities to enhance the functionality, energy efficiency, and convenience of the home. These systems are designed to make the home more intelligent and responsive to the needs of its inhabitants.

By integrating SMART devices and technologies, homeowners can enjoy greater comfort, energy savings, convenience, and security while managing various aspects of
their home from one central hub or through mobile apps.
